After completing my five-year degree in Architecture from Universita’ di Roma La Sapienza, Italy in 1996 with a specialization in adaptive re-use, I became a French-registered architect and moved to Cannes, France, where I co- founded the Atelier d’Architecture Pichon-Lugli Leblanc. The Atelier was involved in all aspects and at every level of the architectural and design process. I acted as architect of record for various commercial and I was responsible for coordinating and managing the remodel of large apartment buildings as well as retail stores. I have been an active designer and architect in the DC/NoVA area for the past 15 years. I have worked on residential and small commercial projects, collaborated as a free-lance designer with various local design and building firms, and played key roles in community design committees. Since 2011. I have been a co-founder and principal of Paolasquare International, P2. Some of our projects have been on architectural tours AND TEH AIM PROJECT WON THE 2016 AIA HERLONG AWARD. IN 2015 i started collaborating with Olvia demetriou in her new studio ( hapstak+demetriou) in georgetown. today my interest for more complex urban projects and NEW design challenges brought me to work @ maurice walters architect. a small, growing firm in the vibrant chinatown neighborhood downtown dc. I am well known in the Arlington community, where just recently I was presented THE DESIGN ARLINGTON award for my work done on the "Tuckahoe house", a Sears Bungalow remodel. i still travel every year to europe, in italy and france to draw from my cultural design roots.
