Remodeling of a 1960's house-Wrapping and adding to make it better

This project began with an addition above the existing living room, allowing the clients to built an additional bedroom on the second floor. The design process evolved into something more interesting. Thinking holistically, we curated a design aligning with the house’s needs and allowing for a brighter, more centralized living area. We proposed a new entry porch, a rear porch, a kitchen remodel, and a new design element for all the facades. A fascia will be wrapped around the entire house, helping unify the home’s designs. Something “new” will be happening on all sides of this small but well-proportioned building. The project will give this typical 1960s Arlington house a fresh, vibrant presence in the neighborhood.
